awesome conclusion to this series

The three books in this series have been my favorite books that Lis Wiehl has written. They have also been the most Christian, so that may play into why I like them the best. Of the three books in this series, this one was the best and most exciting, in my opinion.
The authors brought back the same characters from the other two books, and in this book the stakes are higher and the danger more prevalent.
I took me a few pages to remember what had happened in the last book, but I quickly got caught up. This book brings everything to a head and conclusion, and ends the series in a very satisfying way.
I really like the combination of these two authors. I have read all of Lis Whiehl's books, and she has used different co-authors, and I think Pete Nelson is her best choice yet. The writing style is better, the plot better and more complex.... I thoroughly enjoyed this series, and especially this last book. As with the other books, there were appearances by angels and demons, and people physically fought some demonic creatures, which I know we don't actually do, but it was a neat way to show that spiritual warfare is very real.
There were a couple of words in this book that are inappropriate for a Christian book, but they weren't as bad as some I have run onto. Overall, this was an awesome book.

Gripping suspense!

Gripping suspense, supernatural battles between angels and demons, and intriguing characters make "Fatal Tide" a strong addition to the "East Salem" series. Tommy and Dani return to continue their fight against the evil that has infiltrated the town of East Salem. Their relationship continues to grow in leaps and bounds, and the thread of romance in this novel is sure to please many readers. As with the prior novels in the series, I greatly enjoyed the witty dialogue that sparks between Tommy and Dani in particular, making me laugh out loud in several places, although many other characters also spouted snappy lines. The story is fast paced, with plenty of action and lively scenes that crackle with tension, such that the novel played out like a movie across my mind. I will say that the final battle between angels and demons in the book seemed a little anti-climatic to me, as it was quickly over with no real explanation of why the ones who triumphed did so in such an easy manner. However, even though things wrapped up maybe a little too neatly at the end, the overall ride was just plain fun, and I am left hoping for more from the skilled writing due of Lis Wiehl and Pete Nelson!
Fans of the first two novels in the series will definitely want to plan on getting their hands on a copy of Fatal Tide. And if you haven't yet taken a chance on these books, well, what are you waiting for?

Missing the mark....

I was disappointed in the final book of the trilogy. I enjoyed the first and second books..but the third left me unsatisified. The ending was full of loose ends that dangled in front of the reader's eyes. I would have liked to have had a fourth installment to handle the wedding, what happens with Quinn and Cassandra...and dealing with the aftermath of the demise of St. Adrian's. It certainly was the most farfetched of the three...maybe a bit over the top. Appears that the writers lost their steam in the final novel and just pushed the book over the cliff.
